Alopecia is an auto-immune disorder that can result in partial or complete hair loss. There are different types of alopecia, affecting approximately 2.5 million people in the US.
Sadly there is no cure for alopecia. However, thanks to scalp micropigmentation, we are able to create a new hairline or conceal any bald patches that may have developed.
Scalp micropigmentation (also known as SMP) can be life-changing for so many people, especially those who suffer from alopecia.
SMP is not a cure for alopecia, nor does it promote hair growth; but it does help to heal the trauma of losing our hair so suddenly.
Hair is what forms a huge part of our identity, so when we begin to lose our hair, we lose a big part of who we are with it. Scalp micropigmentation is a way of gaining that back.
