(FUE & FUT Scarring)
Scarring can occur on the scalp for any reasons. You may have had a trauma to the skull which has resulted in surgery or even a hair transplant. Whatever the reason, it can be quite damaging to a person’s self esteem.
Scalp micropigmentation is the perfect way to conceal a scar making it almost invisible. The natural pigment is applied to the scar tissue and will extend beyond the area to blend in perfectly with the existing hair.
The needle used is small enough to replicate a single hair follicle, enabling us to create a full head of thicker-looking hair.
What To
Expect
There are two different kinds of hair transplants you can get:
- FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) – FUT is the most invasive out of the two hair transplants you can get. A strip of scalp tissue will get removed from a donor area on the back of the head and the area will be repaired, This will leave an area where hair follicles are unable to grow. SMP will blend the pigment in with your natural hair follicles meaning the scarring will be completely undetectable.
- FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) – WIth an FUE, individual hair follicles will be removed from your scalp and applied elsewhere. It is the more popular option as slightly less invasive than an FUT. Individual hair follicles are removed and implanted elsewhere. You will be loeft with small circular scars across the side or back of your head.
